My bride wedding speech advice- some tips and helpful information about writing your bride wedding speech.

I always knew when I was going to tie the knot to my groom that at some point I would have to put together my Amazing Brides Speech , well lets just say I may have underestimated how important it was actually going to be!

The reality is that I left the speech weeks and weeks before I even got down to making any ideas let alone actually write the thing!

Well I can finally say now, and my advice about that big detail, is don’t make the same mistake as I did! Plan, plan and plan ahead if you can.

When at first you start thinking about your brides speech, It may feel daunting and sometimes even an impossible task, Because after all not only do you have to write the speech, but having to stand up in front of all your friends and family to deliver your ‘amazing bride speech’ not to mention twice! It is a very nerve wracking experience!

Bride Toast Tips To Start You Off. Some much needed advice for creating your bride wedding speech.

As the date for my wedding drew ever so close, I desperately tried to come up with an inspirational, yet romantic brides speech to wow everyone with, this unfortunately was harder than I anticipated…. I eventually decided on a plan of action, to sit down and just jot down some of the many thoughts that popped into my head.

Believe me when I say that there are more efficient ways to plan your brides wedding toast, but this was fantastic way to kick start ideas.

At first I found this quite difficult, but when I got the idea of using speech prompts ad guides, I eventually started writing down bit of information about myself and my groom.

I jotted down, how we met, how long we had been happily together, some of our most special and memorable moments in life together so far, it really helped me put into perspective and most importantly words, what we had been through as a couple and where we were now.

At this stage its just best not to bother yourself to much about the order or content of your wedding speech. The biggest hurdle is actually creating the perfect wedding speech, not writing it. (crazy I know)

So by jotting down my thoughts I was already over my first task.

Bride wedding speech examples - tips on what to do and say in your bride wedding speech.

Bride Wedding Speech Examples

Bride wedding speech examples are something that I, unfortunately didn’t make much use of until the very last minute before my wedding. Even if you may be in a similar situation to I, then I would wholeheartedly recommend these as a way of avoiding the hell of writer’s block and ensuring everything is just perfect for your big day ahead.

Finding examples and still being unique is important!

The fantastic thing about bride speech examples, is that fortunately they are created and designed to let you fill in the blanks and still have a perfectly unique wedding speech.

They usually work by giving you the right setup and layout, great prompts on ideas to say , this including :

People to thank

Stories you might want to tell

The feelings of your big day

Bride wedding jokes

Your partners personality

Key ways of getting the audience involved

These are just some basic elements of the wedding speech examples I found included. Although I had researched in various places what successful elements bride wedding speeches should include, having them in an order and layout I could understand made every difference to me, and well I couldn’t go wrong!

Please Click Here To Visit The Site I Got My Bride Wedding Speech Example From

Another tip of what speech examples gave me and really helped me with was how to stick to the point without my guests getting bored, this was a massive help as I didn’t want to be the bore at the wedding!

The bride’s speech is one of the most important factors of the day, so there needn’t be the worry of keeping it too short, but then again you don’t want to ramble on for too long.. Sticking to the rough speech layout help with me not doing this, I felt confident throughout my speech that my guests and…. Were not bored.

If you are interested in wedding speech examples to help you along your journey of creating one, then I’d recommend going on the Internet like I ended up doing. You should be able to find one that suits you best, the examples will all so give advice on how you can undoubtfully make your speech completely unforgettable and unique.

Bride toast - don't say the wrong thing....

When it come to pleasing people, forgetting to thank a special person is one thing – but saying the wrong thing in your bride wedding speech is another! And complete disaster. Well thankfully I really wanted to avoid this mistake, so looking up useful and helpful tips will help you avoid this embarrassing situation.

Pleasing your partner

One of the worst things you could unmistakedly do is start talking of previous relationships. It might seem obvious, but believe me there are brides that do this! Even if you want to compare your new amazing love most favorably with everyone else, i do not recommend this, if they are anything like mine he will not appreciate this move. Especially on one of the most important days of their life.

Alcohol

No matter how well you might have prepared your wedding speech, your worst enemy could well be ‘alcohol’ It has the potential to bring down just about anybody, causing them to say the wrong thing. I really was wary about this aspect, and decided to leave the drinking til after the speech was over and done with. I’m so glad I did!

Another helpful tip

One other thing that made the idea of my bride wedding speech stressful to me was the fact I didn’t plan ahead like I should of. Not planing ahead means a lot of unnecessary amounts of stress and in less control of what you want to say. Luckily there are plenty of resources online for those who are in need of help and guidance, for a romantic wedding speech, funny, endearing even.

Get Your Speech Example Here And Save The Stress

Lastly I would like to mention, no matter how well you express your speech, going on for too long isn’t going to go down to well with the audience. Try to work on your speech so that it doesn’t take a whole hour to deliver!

Your bride wedding speech - tips on how to please and thank everyone

Bride Wedding Speech

Unfortunately the brides speech isn’t a completely free piece of writing – It is there as a major backup just to make sure you don’t leave anybody out who is important to you. It took a while to realize this, but keeping everybody happy and ensuring everything goes as smoothly as possible is very essential, but most of all its that your day is nothing but perfect!

Thanking the right people

One of the first things I included into my bride wedding speech was to thank just about anyone and everyone who means the world to me, who got me there on that special day. Whether that was your lovely groom, bridesmaids, mum, dad, anyone who gave you much needed advice, Thank them.

Mentioning your family

Even though I have told the story a thousand times, I decided it was best to start my brides speech with an introduction about how I met my groom, this always works extremely well, and is a crowd pleaser to say the very least.

Also I will try to add much appreciated praise for my family in my bride speech somewhere. After all, this is an important occasion and most likely the best opportunity to express to people who are dear to you in life, just how much they mean to you.

Even if they didn’t directly help with the wedding prep, they played an exceptional part in your life as a whole.

Always remember, your wedding day is about the love of your partner, it is also about having your family and friends being a part of it. Even though I was extremely nervous about my bride wedding toast, it didn’t take me too long to realize that it isn’t to hard to please everybody if you are careful of course!

Bride Wedding Speech - Coping With Nerves

I thought it was very important to include a section on over coming nerves as 99% of people will panic about public speaking. Especially at a wedding where there is a lot of pressure to make any speech perfect, let alone a wedding speech.

But DO NOT FEAR!!! I have researched and found some excellent tips and helpful advice on how to deliver your important bride wedding Speech as well as techniques to keep those pestering nerves at bay.

So with out further a do here are a couple of important points to remember about speaking to an audience at a wedding reception.

With these in mind you are guaranteed to give a spectacular bride speech….

1.) I can absolutely promise you that your audience only wants you to deliver and succeed – honestly, you will have no better audience than at a wedding reception with all the happy vibes of the special occasion. Your maid of honour speech will bring warmth and character, everyone will be listening tentatively to you and will enjoy what you have to say.

2.) You do not have to be ‘Perfect’ to be loved by the audience. Remember, everyone makes a mistake here and there but people will love you for it, and it will seem as if your maid of honour wedding speech is not robotic and will come across as natural. Which of course is much more enjoyable and entertaining to listen to.

3.) Humility and a bit of comedy are always a massive hit at weddings receptions. So be sure to add some tasteful jokes into your maid of honour speech.

4.) A Key element to remember is to Just be yourself. Your audience will admire you for it. Trying to be something your not will causes unnecessary stress and worry on your behalf. Plus you don’t want to seem unnatural to your audience, so be yourself and all costs!

5.) When delivering your bride wedding speech keep eye contact with your audience. If you’re worrying about making eye contact will a total stranger then scan the room and find someone you recognize. This should relax and make you feel more at ease when giving your speech. Eye contact will make the room feel involved when you are speaking.

6.) Make sure, or at lest try to practice and come come prepared for the big day. I find reading your speech aloud is extremely effective and helpful. You fancy you can practice to your family or friends to get some needed feedback from the people who mean most to you.

7.) If you are feeling anxious the night before the wedding speech, then i suggest you make some simple prompt cards with the main points of your bride toast. This means that no matter if you get confused, forget your lines or totally go blank mid speech, then these prompts will always help you find your place quickly.

8.) Visualize the outcome you would want. Think about the mother of the bride laughing at your jokes or sniffling and smiling at your childhood stories. A positive image will help boost your confidence.

9.) Work on the tone and volume of your voice. One thing that can happen to people that are intimidated and scared of public speaking is that they won’t project their voice enough. This would be disastrous no one will her your speech you spent ages preparing or worse…they won’t hear your punch lines and you’ll be the on;y one laughing awkwardly. Even if you are not the most confident of girls , you can appear confident by adding volume to your speaking voice. Try practicing your speech into a corner, sound will bounce back of the walls and give you an idea of the ideal confidence tone in your voice.

10.) Have your prompt cards ready! Don’t leave them at home or our security blanket will be gone.

11.) Take deep breaths before you are ready to begin your speech, this will helps with nerves.

12.) Stand up. This will allow the audience to see and hear you clearly.

13.) Use a microphone if given one. Hold around the middle and keep it a few inches from your lips and an inch or so lower than your mouth. Try not to let it fall because no one will be able to hear you. Try not to hold it too close to your lips or you will get a popping sound when you say your P’s.

14.) A must is not to get drunk before your big speech. I know it is tempting but can have disastrous outcomes. Tranquilizers aren’t a very good plan also. They will leave you with an inability to react to the present situation.

15.) Finally my last tip is… Don’t drink a lot of caffeine beforehand either. Caffeine is a nervous stimulant. It is the opposite of what you will want before speaking at the wedding reception.

That’s it. I know that seems like and endless list to remember but most people will only need a few tips. But even if you end up forgetting all of these nerve busting tips do NOT forget this…. To have fun! If you look happy and as a though you are enjoying yourself people will not notice or not care if you make a blunder on your speech. You will project out happy vibes and your wedding speech is destined to be a success.
