Ok Great!!! So, let’s get cooking :)

Step 1: Begin with your speech preparation. Just as you would preheat the cooker and lay out all of your ingredients, you need to prepare your speech. Please take your time. Start planning your speech early. Make sure if you can the leave plenty of time before the wedding. This will leave room to fix any mistakes and of course, time to practice reciting your speech.

But above all, do not rush it and think carefully. Remember this next important point… You do not have to write the whole speech in one sitting. ( Phew and excuse to take lots of breaks :) I strongly recommend this technique as you may find that ideas come to you over time. Plus the time away from your speech will help you to spot any little mistakes next time you read over it.

Step 2: Next, add a heaped cup of sincerity. This is one of the most important ingredient of any wedding speech. Emotion and honesty is the secret seasoning to a powerful and memorable speech. Don’t be afraid to make a few people cry, and always remember to make sure the words come from your heart. This is key to concocting a speech that will be a screaming success and the bride will treasure.

Step 3: Add in a dash of humor. A tasteful and funny Bride Speech is guaranteed a hit at the reception. Mix up the emotions. I think a great speech is a bit like a roller-coaster ride. A quick journey though the happy couples life together. With lost of happy moments, sad moments and funny moments. To start you off you could include a funny story from the bride’s past or an anecdote about the happy couple.

Humor is a excellent way to break up the seriousness of the speech as well as make it enjoyable to listen too. Just make sure to withhold any embarrassing moments. You do not want to ruin the day by upsetting the bride.

Step 4: This recipe should only bake for a short period of time. In other words, do not make your speech too long. I’m sure you know what i mean when i say “There is nothing more boring than a speech that rambles on forever.” You will lose your audience and your speech will be a flop. Make sure it is meaningful and relatively short.

Step 5: When serving out you speech make sure you speak loudly and clearly. If you audience can not hear you they will get bored and restless and all your hard work and preparation will go to waste.

Also, try to keep eye contact with the crowd and project your voice around the room (but don’t worry to much as you most likely will have a microphone.) The eye contact will involve the audience and make the speech feel more personal, resulting in their full undivided attention.

Oh and my last quick tip on serving your speech….is to stand up. This may seem a bit obvious but this simple task can be very nerve wracking as you will be the immediate attention of that huge crowd. YIKES. But try not to chicken out as this really will help them to see and hear you and you speech will have the full impact and it will be one to remember. :)

GREAT! So there you have it, my quick and easy recipe for a perfect Bride Wedding Speech. If you follow these guidelines, then you will be golden. Even with all of this, I had to get a lot of help and used some high quality resources to help me with all areas of my speech. The best thing of all is to check out as many

as you can.

While you may find yourself caught up with all the pressure of the traditional responsibilities, you must remember to make sure you do not forget and neglect the Brides Speeches.

If you are anything like me, then you may have been naughty and pushed this worrisome task to the back of your mind not thought much about the speech. In fact, you may have forgotten about it altogether (under the strain of all the other tasks that are expected of this can be very easy so don’t feel guilty if you have)!
Yep, I delayed my speech until the week before the wedding. YIKES, talk about leaving it last minute…So from my experience my first and probably one of my biggest tips  is – whatever you do, do not forget about the 'Speech' and wait until the last minute to prepare.
Bride Speeches

I wanted to write this blog to help all you Brides to be out there by providing some essential speech tips from a real life example.

When I eventually realized I could not longer ignore the fact that I had to write a speech, I forced myself to get to work on it asap. It wasn’t long before it dawned on me that I had absolutely know idea where to begin or more importantly what was expected of me. It was not long before panic set in. I hadn’t a clue what to start writing down, and I knew I wanted the speech to be as perfect as could be. I was desperate not the let anyone down and ruin the big day and of course avoid embarrassing myself at all costs if possible. This was for my one and only big special day, and I knew that my brides speech had to go above and beyond just a simple toast.

After a long and grueling 3hours of a pitiful attempt of writing my speech, I reluctantly through up my arms and admitted defeat. I was totally at my wits end and was sure I was doomed to single handily wreck the wedding day with a shockingly bad Brides speech. But it wasn’t until a kind friend made me realize something… I did not have to create the speech all by myself! In fact, I realized that there is absolutely nothing at all wrong with finding some tips and tricks to help me conduct my speech.

So I sat at the computer and set to work researching all I could on writing a Bride Wedding Speech.

It wasn’t long before I came across some GREAT useful advice and ideas that really helped me. It really was refreshing advice and I think it would help you out a lot as well. After all the traveling through numerous wedding websites and blogs, some helpful, some less so. It was obvious to me that this was the best site for my needs and was exactly what I was looking for.

After just a few hours of searching on the Internet for relevant wedding pages. I found myself stumbling across a couple of fantastic sites. I was able to stand up on my wedding day and deliver a Wedding Speech that i was confident with and something i felt proud of.

Although totally nerve wracking at the time, giving my speech was one of the biggest highlights of that special day. An unforgettable experience with treasured memories that will stay with me for ever.

My aim for writing and creating this site was to help all you Brides to be to concoct your perfect and unique memorable Bride Wedding toasts. Through my experience I have discovered the recipe for a successful speech and just by following  a few simple but effective tips you will have the full ingredients to make a wedding speech to remember.

I really hope you have enjoyed my wedding blog so far.

Bride Toast – Don’t Say The Wrong Thing…..

When it come to pleasing people, forgetting to thank a special person is one thing – but saying the wrong thing in your Bride Wedding Speech is another! And complete disaster. Well thankfully I really wanted to avoid this mistake, so looking up useful and helpful tips will help you avoid this embarrassing situation.

Pleasing your partner

One of the worst things you could unmistakably do is start talking of previous relationships. It might seem obvious, but believe me there are brides that do this! Even if you want to compare your new amazing love most favorably with everyone else, i do not recommend this, if they are anything like mine he will not appreciate this move. Especially on one of the most important days of their life.

Alcohol

No matter how well you might have prepared your wedding speech, your worst enemy could well be ‘alcohol’ It has the potential to bring down just about anybody, causing them to say the wrong thing. I really was wary about this aspect, and decided to leave the drinking til after the speech was over and done with. I’m so glad I did!

Another helpful tip

One other thing that made the idea of my bride wedding speech stressful to me was the fact I didn’t plan ahead like I should of. Not planing ahead means a lot of unnecessary amounts of stress and in less control of what you want to say. Luckily there are plenty of resources online for those who are in need of help and guidance, for a romantic wedding speech, funny, endearing even.

Lastly I would like to mention, no matter how well you express your speech, going on for too long isn’t going to go down to well with the audience. Try to work on your speech so that it doesn’t take a whole hour to deliver!

Brides Speech

Bride Speech - Do's & Dont's!

There re a few simple yet essential rules to stick by when writing, preparing your and delivering your Brides Speech.  To avoid embarrassing moments and guarantee your Wedding Speech goes flawlessly then just stick to these easy tips.

DO’S – Key Tips On How To Make Your Brides Speech A Guaranteed Success.

  • Plan Ahead!!!

This is my absolute number one tip. When i was a Bride i foolishly left writing my big speech until a week before. BAD MOVE… The thought of writing it stressed me out  so much i kept shoving it to the back of my mind. Big Mistake! This only left me much, much more stressed. I thought a week would be more then enough time but anyone who’s been strongly involved in a wedding  knows loads of problems can pop up in that final week before the wedding. Thus leaving you tired and exhausted with not enough hours in the day to research and design a Wedding Speech everyone will be proud of.

So to recap – Not planing ahead means a lot of unnecessary amounts of stress and in less control of what you want to say. Luckily there are plenty of resources online for those who are in need of help and guidance. Whether you are looking for a romantic wedding speech, a  funny or endearing one.

  • Include a couple of jokes.

If you think you can handle it then it is a good idea to add just a couple of relevant jokes. Even if you decide to go for a very romantic speech, a couple of tasteful jokes will just add a little extra. A little bit of humor always go down well at weddings and will ensure that the audience pays full attention to you.

But if like me, you are not a natural stand up comedian and worried you will write jokes that know one will laugh at then sauce some on the Internet. Just make sure they fit in with your speech and are relevant to your Bride and Grooms story.

Remember to ensure your jokes are tasteful and will not upset or make anyone feel uncomfortable. (I Have no doubt that you would be anything other than tasteful but i thought i’d just mention it.)

  • Make sure you always stand up and speak clearly when delivering your Bride Speeches.

If the audience can’t see you then or hear you then they will lose interest. This would be a huge shame, especially after all the effort you put in to writing it.

  • My Final DO is to always look out towards the audience when talking.

Not only will they be able to hear you better but they will be much more engaged in your speech as your eye contact will make them feel involved and keep their attention.

DON’TS – Key Tips On What NOT To Do When Delivering Your Speeches.

  • My first Don’t is to not make your speech too long.

This is actually a positive thing because it means you have to write less YAY! But if  does get too long, no matter how amazing your weeding speech is the audience will get bored and fidgety.

  • Do not drink too much alcohol before your Bride Speech.

One or two to take the edge off your nerves will probably be OK, depending on how you hold your drink. But Do Not not get drunk. I know it might seem difficult to do at a party, especially at a wedding where everywhere you turn there’s champagne. But unless you want to stumble over your dress or mess up your words and embarrass yourself  (don’t forget it’s going to be on tape) then i strongly suggest you stick too this simple rule. Just remember you will have plenty of time to let your hair down after the speech.

Okay then. There you have it. From my experience, the DO’S and DON’Ts List. In sure these are all things you will naturally do any way but i though i would include a little section on them.

Your Brides Speech – How To Please Everyone!

Bride Wedding Speech

Bride Wedding Speech

Templates are there as a major backup just to make sure you don’t leave anybody out who is important to you. It took a while to realize this, but keeping everybody happy and ensuring  everything goes as smoothly as possible is very essential, but most of all its that your day is nothing but perfect!

Thanking the right people

One of the first things I included into my bride wedding speech was to thank just about anyone and everyone who means the world to me, who got me there on that special day. Whether that was your lovely groom, bridesmaids, mum, dad, anyone who gave you much needed advice, Thank them.

Mentioning your family

Even though I have told the story a thousand times, I decided it was best to start my brides speech with an introduction about how I met my groom, this always works extremely well, and is a crowd pleaser to say the very least.

Also I will try to add much appreciated praise for my family in my bride speech somewhere. After all, this is an important occasion and most likely the best opportunity to express to people who are dear to you in life, just how much they mean to you.

Even if they didn’t directly help with the wedding prep, they played an exceptional part in your life as a whole.

Always remember, your wedding day is about the love of your partner, it is also about having your family and friends being a part of it. Even though I was extremely nervous about my bride wedding toast, it didn’t take me too long to realize that it isn’t to hard to please everybody if you are careful of course!

Bride Wedding Speech – Coping With Nerves

Bride Wedding Speech - Coping With Nerves

Bride Wedding Speech - Coping With Nerves

I thought it was very important to include a section on over coming nerves as 99% of people will panic about public speaking. Especially at a wedding where there is a lot of pressure to make any speech perfect, let alone a wedding speech.

But DO NOT FEAR!!! I have researched and found some excellent tips and helpful advice on how to deliver your important bride wedding Speech as well as techniques to keep those pestering nerves at bay.

So with out further a do here are a couple of important points to remember about speaking to an audience at a wedding reception.

With these in mind you are guaranteed to give a spectacular bride speech....

1.) I can absolutely promise you that your audience only wants you to deliver and succeed - honestly, you will have no better audience than at a wedding reception with all the happy vibes of the special occasion. Your maid of honour speech will bring warmth and character, everyone will be listening tentatively to you and will enjoy what you have to say.

2.) You do not have to be ‘Perfect’ to be loved by the audience. Remember, everyone makes a mistake here and there but people will love you for it, and it will seem as if your maid of honour wedding speech is not robotic and will come across as natural. Which of course is much more enjoyable and entertaining to listen to.

3.) Humility and a bit of comedy are always a massive hit at weddings receptions. So be sure to add some tasteful jokes into your maid of honour speech.

4.) A Key element to remember is to Just be yourself. Your audience will admire you for it. Trying to be something your not will causes unnecessary stress and worry on your behalf. Plus you don’t want to seem unnatural to your audience, so be yourself and all costs!

5.) When delivering your bride wedding speech keep eye contact with your audience. If you're worrying about making eye contact will a total stranger then scan the room and find someone you recognize. This should relax and make you feel more at ease when giving your speech. Eye contact will make the room feel involved when you are speaking.

6.) Make sure, or at lest try to practice and come come prepared for the big day. I find reading your speech aloud is extremely effective and helpful. You fancy you can practice to your family or friends to get some needed feedback from the people who mean most to you.

7.) If you are feeling anxious the night before the wedding speech, then i suggest you make some simple prompt cards with the main points of your bride toast. This means that no matter if you get confused, forget your lines or totally go blank mid speech, then these prompts will always help you find your place quickly.

8.) Visualize the outcome you would want. Think about the mother of the bride laughing at your jokes or sniffling and smiling at your childhood stories. A positive image will help boost your confidence.

9.) Work on the tone and volume of your voice. One thing that can happen to people that are intimidated and scared of public speaking is that they won't project their voice enough. This would be disastrous no one will her your speech you spent ages preparing or worse...they won't hear your punch lines and you'll be the on;y one laughing awkwardly. Even if you are not the most confident of girls , you can appear confident by adding volume to your speaking voice. Try practicing your speech into a corner, sound will bounce back of the walls and give you an idea of the ideal confidence tone in your voice.

10.) Have your prompt cards ready! Don't leave them at home or our security blanket will be gone.

11.) Take deep breaths before you are ready to begin your speech, this will helps with nerves.

12.) Stand up. This will allow the audience to see and hear you clearly.

13.) Use a microphone if given one. Hold around the middle and keep it a few inches from your lips and an inch or so lower than your mouth. Try not to let it fall because no one will be able to hear you. Try not to hold it too close to your lips or you will get a popping sound when you say your P's.

14.) A must is not to get drunk before your big speech. I know it is tempting but can have disastrous outcomes. Tranquilizers aren't a very good plan also. They will leave you with an inability to react to the present situation.

15.) Finally my last tip is… Don't drink a lot of caffeine beforehand either. Caffeine is a nervous stimulant. It is the opposite of what you will want before speaking at the wedding reception.

That's it. I know that seems like and endless list to remember but most people will only need a few tips. But even if you end up forgetting all of these nerve busting tips do NOT forget this…. To have fun! If you look happy and as a though you are enjoying yourself people will not notice or not care if you make a blunder on your speech. You will project out happy vibes and your wedding speech is destined to be a success.
